Last updated:
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Your Builder Co-Pilot website and the purchase of any products or services offered through it. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or purchase any products or services.
About Your Builder Co-Pilot
Your Builder Co-Pilot is an independent building advisory service for Australian homeowners. We operate this website and provide expert builder quote reviews, pre-contract reviews, indicative cost estimates, building adviser consultations and digital products. References to 'we', 'us' or 'our' in these terms mean Your Builder Co-Pilot.
Our services are provided from New South Wales, Australia. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Nature of Our Services and Information
Your Builder Co-Pilot provides practical building knowledge, independent advisory services and educational resources for Australian homeowners. Our services include expert builder quote reviews, pre-contract scope and risk reviews, indicative cost estimates, building adviser consultations and digital products including the Pre-Build Essential Toolkit.
All information, content, reports and advice provided through this website or any service is general in nature and is intended for educational and informational purposes. It does not constitute legal, financial, engineering, architectural, structural or other licensed professional advice.
Your Builder Co-Pilot is not a licensed builder under any state or territory building legislation, a legal practitioner, a financial adviser, a structural or civil engineer, or an architect. Our services reflect the practical experience and knowledge of a building professional and are intended to help you ask better questions and make more informed decisions, not to replace professional advice specific to your project.
You should always obtain independent professional advice appropriate to your circumstances, project and jurisdiction before making any decisions about your building project, signing any contract or committing to any expenditure.
Expert Review and Advisory Services
Our expert builder review, pre-contract review and cost estimate services are provided on the basis of the documents and information you supply to us. The quality and completeness of our output depends on the quality and completeness of the information you provide.
Our reviews and reports represent our honest assessment based on practical building experience. They are not a guarantee of any particular outcome, saving, cost or result. Building costs, site conditions, builder practices and regulatory requirements vary significantly and may not be fully captured in the documents you provide.
We will use reasonable skill and care in providing our services. However, we do not warrant that our services will be error-free or that they will identify every risk, cost or issue in your building project or documents.
Turnaround times stated on our website are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We will notify you if we anticipate a material delay.
Consultation Services
Building adviser consultations are provided by video call or phone at the time you select during the booking process. Consultations are 60 minutes in duration unless otherwise stated.
You must complete payment through our payment processor before your booking is confirmed. A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide.
If you need to reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may not be eligible for a refund.
We reserve the right to reschedule a consultation if we are unable to attend due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as practicable and offer an alternative time.
Digital Products
Digital products, including the Pre-Build Essential Toolkit, are delivered by download through Payhip following successful payment. Upon completing payment, you will receive access to download the product.
Digital products are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, resell, sublicense, share or otherwise make the product available to any third party without our prior written consent.
Download access for each digital product is limited to two download attempts per purchase. Customers are responsible for saving downloaded files securely. Any additional access will be provided at our discretion, subject to rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Due to the digital nature of these products, we do not offer refunds once the download link has been accessed, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law. Please review the product description carefully before purchasing.
